Privacy Policy — Inland Logix
Inland World Logistics Private Limited
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Who this applies to
Inland Logix is an internal application for employees of Inland World Logistics and its group companies who work in operations: branch staff, godown staff, dispatchers and their supervisors. It is not offered to the public, and you cannot use it without an active employee record in our HR system and a device that IT has approved for your account.
If you are not an Inland employee, this app is not for you and no part of this policy concerns you.
2. What this app is for
Inland Logix records operational work: consignment bookings (dockets), vehicle hire and dispatch (THC and TMS), deliveries and proofs of delivery, godown movements, attendance, and the calls made to drivers, vehicle owners and transport vendors to track a vehicle. That record is used to run the business, to pay transport vendors, to verify attendance for payroll, and to answer customers' questions about their consignments. Its purpose is to create a verifiable account of operational work, and you should read every section below with that in mind.
3. What we collect
3.1 Location — including in the background
We record your location during your working day, not only when you open the app.
- Tracking begins when you punch attendance IN and stops at your standard out-time from the HR employee master. It never runs past 19:00.
- It continues while the app is closed or your phone is in your pocket. Android shows a persistent notification whenever this is running.
- Points are stored on the phone and uploaded periodically.
- Each point holds latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed, heading and the time the fix was taken.
- We also record location at the moment you punch attendance, check a vehicle in or out of a godown, and place a call to a driver, owner or vendor from the app.
We do not track you outside the window above, on holidays, or on approved leave.
3.2 Calls to drivers, vehicle owners and transport vendors
When you ring a driver, a vehicle owner or a transport vendor from within the app to locate a vehicle or chase a document, we record: who was called, the number, the vehicle and trip it was about, when the call was placed, how long you were on the phone (from dialling to returning to the app, ringing included), the outcome you chose, your remarks, and where you were.
We do not read your phone's call log. The app does not have that permission and does not ask for it. Whether a call connected is what you record, not something the app measures. We do not see personal calls, calls placed outside the app, or the content of any call.
3.3 Photographs
Photographs you take in the app: proofs of delivery, challans and delivery documents; evidence photographs when you punch attendance away from your branch; and images captured during godown check-in and check-out. Barcodes are scanned with the camera but no image is kept from a scan.
3.4 Device and identity
Your employee code, name, mobile number, branch and company, taken from the HR master; and your device's model, manufacturer, operating system, an Android device identifier, the notification token Android issues to the app, the app version, and the network address the server saw when you signed in.
Your account is bound to one approved device. A sign-in from any other device is refused, and every sign-in attempt on your account — successful or refused — is recorded so that you can see it (Settings → Login history).
3.5 What we do NOT collect
- Your fingerprint or face. Biometric unlock is performed by Android and the app is told only yes or no; no biometric data reaches us.
- Your phone's call log, messages, contacts, or any other app's data.
- Photographs other than those you take in the app.
- Anything at all outside your working window.
4. Why we collect it
| Data | Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Location during working hours | Verify attendance and field movement for payroll; place godown and delivery events | Performance of the employment contract; legitimate business interest |
| Calls to drivers, owners and vendors | Track vehicles and consignments; settle transport vendors; answer customer enquiries | Legitimate business interest |
| Photographs of documents | Proof of delivery and of consignment condition | Legitimate business interest; contractual obligation to customers |
| Employee, device and sign-in details | Authentication; securing your account to your approved device; detecting misuse | Performance of the contract; legitimate business interest |
5. Who can see it
Your data is visible to you, to your reporting manager and their line management, and to HR, payroll, operations and IT administrators in the course of their duties. Proof-of-delivery photographs may be shown to the customer whose consignment they concern.
It is held in Inland's own databases on Inland-controlled infrastructure. It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers, data brokers or any third party, except where we are required to disclose it by law.
6. How long it is kept
Attendance records are kept as long as employment records require under Indian law. Consignment, delivery and vehicle records — including the calls and photographs attached to them — are kept as long as the consignment's commercial and statutory record requires. Location points and sign-in history are kept for the period needed for payroll, audit and security review, and are then removed.
7. Your rights
You may ask to see the data the app holds about you, ask for a correction if it is wrong, and ask questions about how it is used. Records that form part of a payroll, statutory or customer-facing business record cannot generally be deleted on request, in the same way a delivered consignment's proof of delivery cannot be withdrawn.
Contact: customer.support@iwlpl.in, or your branch HR.
8. Your choices, stated honestly
You can refuse or later withdraw any Android permission.
Refusing location permission means the app cannot verify attendance or record godown and delivery events, and those functions will not work. Refusing the camera means you cannot scan a barcode or capture a proof of delivery. These are conditions of the app, not settings we can waive. If you have concerns about being tracked during working hours, raise them with HR rather than by disabling the permission, because the practical result of disabling it is that your work goes unrecorded.
You may uninstall the app at any time. Records already created remain part of the business record.
9. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access requires your employee ID and password, or a one-time code sent to your registered mobile number, on a device IT has approved for your account; after that you may set a PIN or use your device's biometric unlock. Sessions expire and can be revoked centrally. Access to the underlying data is restricted to authorised staff.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top is the last revision.
